Who this is with
These terms are between you and Frozen Crow Inc. (“Frozen Crow”, “we”), 3744 E. Chapman Ave. Ste. #F12358, Orange, CA 92859, United States. By creating an account you accept them. You must be at least 16 years old.
What Wading is
Wading is an AI language-practice app. You have conversations with Wade, an AI tutor, by text and by voice. It is practice, not instruction from a qualified teacher, and it is not a certification. Wade is an AI: he will sometimes be wrong, and the corrections he offers are best-effort, not authoritative. Don't rely on him for anything consequential — legal, medical, financial or otherwise.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person. Tell us at support@lc.wading.ai if you think someone else has access.
Plans, billing and renewal
- Free trial: 7 days, no card required. When it ends you move to the free plan or subscribe; nothing is charged automatically because we never took a card.
- Free plan: text conversation up to a daily limit, supported by sponsors. See the Advertising policy. Voice practice is not included.
- Subscription: $29.99 per month, or $249 per year. Includes unlimited text conversation, 300 minutes of voice practice per calendar month, and no advertising.
- It renews automatically at the same price until you cancel — monthly plans every month, annual plans every year. For annual plans we'll email you a reminder between 15 and 45 days before each renewal, as California law requires.
- Cancel any time, in two clicks: Account → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not make you call or email anyone to cancel.
- Price changes apply only to future periods, and we'll tell you at least 30 days beforehand so you can cancel first.
Refunds
If Wading isn't what you hoped, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it — no argument, no form. Beyond that we'll consider refunds case by case, and we'll always refund a charge caused by our mistake.
Consumers in the UK and EU have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Note that by starting to use a subscription immediately you may lose that right for the portion already used — either way the paragraph above is at least as generous.
Fair use
Please don't:
- use Wading to generate content that is illegal, hateful, or sexual content involving minors;
- try to extract our prompts, scrape the service, or resell access to it;
- use it as a general-purpose AI assistant rather than for language practice;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or use automated tooling against it.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where it's reasonable we'll warn you first and tell you why.
Who owns what
You own your words. Your conversations, your writing and your recordings remain yours. You grant us the licence we need to run the service — to store them, show them back to you, and send them to our AI provider to generate replies and track your progress. That licence exists only to operate Wading and ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and our AI provider is contractually barred from doing so on the paid tier we use.
We own Wading itself — the software, the design, Wade, and the name. What Wade writes back to you is yours to use freely.
Service changes and availability
We're a small company shipping quickly. Features will change, and occasionally something will break or be unavailable. If we discontinue a feature you paid for, we'll refund the unused part of your subscription. We don't promise a specific uptime.
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Careful. It is immediate and permanent, and it cancels any subscription.
Liability
Wading is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country and may bring proceedings there. Before anything formal, please just email us — nearly everything is fixable that way.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days beforehand. If you don't agree, cancel before the change takes effect and we'll refund the unused part of your period.
