You can start without paying anything: every account begins with a 7-day free trial, and we never ask for a card. When it ends you choose — stay on the free plan, which keeps text conversation going up to a daily limit and is supported by sponsors, or subscribe.

It renews automatically until you cancel, which takes two clicks in Account; if Wading isn't what you hoped, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it.
Any language a conversation can be had in. Spanish, Japanese and Croatian, of course — and Klingon, Esperanto, Shakespearean English and Pirate Speak too. Type it however you like; endonyms and typos are welcome, and Wade works out what you mean.
Yes. Add as many as you like and switch between them whenever you want. Each keeps its own words, level and pace, and Progress gives each one its own card — never a comparison.
Both. Wading runs in your browser and as a phone app, and your conversations, words and progress are the same on each. A few things belong to one platform: the daily-word widget is iPhone-only, and keyboard shortcuts are on the web.
Yes. Voice mode is a real spoken conversation, and Wade speaks with a native accent in the language you're learning. Voice is part of the subscription — 300 minutes a month — and isn't included on the free plan.
Your conversations are sent to our AI provider to generate Wade's replies and track your progress. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to train AI models. You can download a copy of everything from Account, and delete everything, permanently, from the app.
Yes. History → What Wade remembers lists every fact he keeps about you, and Forget removes any one of them. Deleting your account erases all of it.
